Sand & debris
Dealing with wind-blown sand
Fine sand does not float; it settles on the floor and is pulled into the filter. Over time it compacts the filter media, raises the pressure and reduces flow, which is why a pool can look dull even after chlorine is added.
We vacuum the floor thoroughly, backwash the filter when the pressure rises, and check the filter media more often than usual in windy months. If sand is a constant problem we can recommend a cover or windbreak planting.
- 1Full floor vacuum on every visit.
- 2Filter pressure checked and backwashed when needed.
- 3Pump strainer basket emptied of sand and grit.
- 4Filter media inspected after dusty spells.
Garden pools & spas
Garden pools, spas and water features
Many Al Basateen villas pair the pool with a spa, a waterfall or a fountain. Each has its own pump and pipework, and warm spa water needs different chemistry from the main pool.
We include spas and water features in the weekly visit, clean their filters and jets, and adjust chemicals separately so every part of the garden water stays clean.

Frequently asked questions
Do you clean pools in Al Basateen every week?
Yes. We have a regular route in Al Basateen and neighbouring north Jeddah districts, so we can offer a fixed weekly visit.
Why is our pool floor always sandy?
Sea breezes carry fine sand into open gardens. Weekly vacuuming and regular filter care keep it under control, and a pool cover reduces it between visits.
Can you maintain our spa and fountain as well?
Yes. We include spas, waterfalls and fountains in the visit, cleaning their filters and adjusting the chemistry separately.
Does sand damage the pump?
Sand that gets past the strainer can wear the pump impeller and seals. Emptying the strainer basket and keeping the filter healthy protects the pump.
Do you offer one-off deep cleaning?
Yes. We offer one-off deep cleans for pools that have been left unused, before an event or after a sandstorm.
Which nearby districts do you also serve?
We also work in Al Muhammadiyah, Ash Shati, Al Murjan and across Jeddah.
