Pool pump repair
Pool pump repair and replacement in Jeddah
When the pump stops, the pool starts going green. We diagnose and repair noisy, leaking, overheating and dead pool pumps across Jeddah, and replace them with efficient models when repair no longer makes sense.
Signs your pool pump needs attention
The pump is the heart of the pool. It moves water through the filter and back again, and without it chlorine cannot do its job. In Jeddah's heat a pool without circulation can turn green in two or three days.
Call us if you notice any of these warning signs. Most are cheap to fix early and expensive if ignored.
- Loud grinding or screeching
- Water dripping under the pump
- Pump hums but will not start
- Motor trips the breaker
- Air bubbles in the pump lid
- Weak flow at the returns

Common faults
The pump faults we fix most often
Pool pumps in Jeddah work hard, often for many hours a day in hot plant rooms. These are the problems we see most:
- 1Worn shaft seal: water drips from between the pump and motor; left too long it ruins the bearings.
- 2Noisy bearings: a grinding or screaming motor, usually after a seal leak or old age.
- 3Failed capacitor: the motor hums but does not turn; a quick, low-cost fix.
- 4Air leaks: a cracked lid, dry O-ring or loose fitting causes bubbles and weak flow.
- 5Blocked impeller: debris past the basket jams the impeller and cuts flow.
- 6Overheating: poor ventilation or a clogged filter makes the motor trip.

Replacement
Repair or replace? An honest answer
If the motor is burnt out, the housing is cracked or parts are no longer available, replacement is usually the better value. We will tell you plainly.
When replacing, we size the pump correctly for your pool and filter. A variable-speed pump can run at low speed for most of the day, which is quieter and can cut the pump's electricity use substantially compared with an old single-speed model.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my pool pump making a loud noise?
Usually worn bearings, often caused by a seal that has leaked water into the motor. Cavitation from a blocked basket or air leak can also cause noise.
Why is water leaking from my pump?
Most often the shaft seal has worn out. Replacing it quickly protects the motor bearings from water damage.
My pump hums but doesn't start. What's wrong?
Frequently a failed start capacitor or a jammed impeller. Both are usually fixed on the first visit.
How fast can you repair my pump?
We usually reach most Jeddah districts the same day or the next morning, and our vans carry common seals, capacitors and fittings.
Should I upgrade to a variable-speed pump?
If your pump runs many hours a day, a variable-speed pump usually pays for itself through lower electricity use and runs much more quietly.
Which pump brands do you service?
We service the common brands used in Jeddah pools and can source compatible replacement parts or pumps.
